- 개굴이 (gaegul-i) means 개굴 (croaking, gaegul) + 이 (i. Not ai). 개굴 is a noun from sound-symbolic adverb (find frog) in Korea. It's written as it sounds. The frog (개구리, gaeguli)'s sound. And it's sometimes used as a nickname for frog in Korea. This is interpreted as Geroro or Keroro of Keroro Gunso in Japanese. Their name comes from "gero" (ゲロ), the Japanese onomatopoeia for ribbit. So his name means ribbit.
