He felt it was an honor for any human to face him directly in combat.[3]

Although he looks down on humans, he is impressed if they manage to damage him such as when tempest damaged his helmet[3] and Hardcore Leveling Warrior was able to match him blow for blow and even overpower him for a brief period.[2]

History[]

Background[]

A battle with God[]

In the past, Ligos used to subjugate humans. A year before the start of the series, Ligos challenged Combat God. Even with the power of Nightmare he was defeated.[1]After his defeat he was sealed under a giant land mass by God of War. He was released by God of War during the Subjugation Round and was the first ever 5* monster introduced in the tournament.

At some point he made Todish and Octonash his subordinates and gave the latter monster his demon shield/barrier.

Season 1[]

Subjugation Round Arc[]

Ligos was constantly communicating with Octonash to see if she could handle Hardcore Leveling Warrior's Alliance but was first seen after she was killed. He appeared with Todish after Octonash was killed and ordered Todish to fight Hardcore Leveling Warrior's alliance. Todish was killed and Ligos had half his helmet blown off by a suicide attack from Tempest.

Impressed, Ligos faced the rest of the party himself. He easiy blocked all the attacks that were thrown at him and defeated Tac, Lime and Pooh Upooh and Lime in a single attack. He managed to kill Sora and critically injured Hardcore Leveling Warrior before killing Dark.

Before Dark was killed, he used Wind Up to revert Hardcore Leveling Warrior back to his #3 Ranker state. This took Ligos by surprise as he had never seen a human this strong. Hardcore Leveling Warrior was able to match Ligos blow for blow, escape from his high tier binding skill, destroy his sword and even send him through 3 mountains . Ligos was split in half by a Moonlight Slash but used Nightmarization. He gained the upper hand and managed to overpower Hardcore Leveling Warrior while using his Nightmare imbued attacks to destroy his boots and slow him down.

The long drawn out battle ended when Hardcore Leveling Warrior avoided a critical strike form Ligos by luckily slipping on the ice created from Ligos' earlier attacks and cortically injuring him. He was killed when Hardcore Leveling Warrior used a Lucky Punch with an attack power of 99,999.[4]

Legacy[]

After Ligos was defeated by Hardcore Leveling Warrior, he became a large chest. Numerous items and body parts of his were within the chest which Hardcore Leveling Warrior distributed with his team and allies after Lila revived them with the item, Tears of Lonares, from the chest.

His organs were given to Pooh Upooh. His skill slab was given to Taek and a succubus' anti aging cream was given to Lime. Ligos' horns were given to Dark who had Le. Rajie devour it, increasing the demon's height and power, and Ancient Devil Ore was given to Sora although Ego had devoured it. Hardcore Leveling Warrior then received a memory of Ligos regarding Zero.

In Season 2, Ligos' horn and power returns and activates as Le. Rajie is forced to nightmarize and then used the late Great Demon's Sword. Bloody Blizzard, to battle Dark.
