Unjang,[2] known as Guan Yu in Lucid Adventure,[1] and also called General Guan Yu[1] or simply General,[1] is a player in Lucid Adventure. He is a member of the Giga Empire and one of the 12 Generals of Han Sung-Gong. Guan Yu is a previous winner of a past iteration of the Combat Tournament. He is regularly accompanied by his trusted aide, Zhou Cang, who serves as his weapon bearer.[1] In the reset timeline, Unjang is a cook at Sea King's Palace Chinese Restaurant.[2]
At some point in the past, Guan Yu had a run-in with Hardcore Leveling Warrior, which led to him developing a grudge against the former rank 1 player.[1] He later also developed a grudge against Sora for attacking him in Yopy Land.[3]
After being manipulated by Constant to fight the 13th Squad, Guan Yu was forced to be eliminated by the 13th Squad and was subsequently deleted from the game via Dark Warrior's Helmet as he was defeated.[4]
Appearance[]
Guan Yu wears green armour that resembles the armour worn by Ancient Chinese Generals during the Three Kingdoms period. He has light red skin, black hair, a long moustache and a large black beard.[1]
Guan Yu is an abnormally large man and chunky man. He is several times the size of a regular human.[1]

Personality[]
General Guan Yu loves food as he travelled all the way to Yopi Land to taste the Yopi Grilled Skewers. However, he's is very impatient and was unwilling to wait in line, jumping ahead of Sora in the queue for the Yopi Grilled Skewers.
In addition, the General is quick to anger and quick to lash out. He starts to ambush Hardcore Leveling Warrior in a non-player killing area without thinking about the consequences or the credibility given by the emperor. The General also seems to hold grudges as he was willing to attack Hardcore Leveling Warrior for some slight in the past and still holds a grudge against Sora for punching him through a wall.

The Emperor[]
As the President of Giga, Guan Yu greatly fears and respects Sam Han. He remarked that the Emperor will "bust him up" for fighting inside of Yopi Land.
Zhou Cang[]
Zhou Cang is Guan Yu's trusted aide. Both are friendly with each other and have been partners for a long time.
Zhang Fei[]
Zhang Fei is Guan Yu's younger brother. Both of them are close with each other as family as Guan Yu was furious when Tac punched Zhang Fei straight towards him. Guan Yu thinks that Zhang Fei gets into fighting a bit too much.
Zhuge Kongming[]
Zhuge Kongming is Guan Yu's superior although they treat each other quite casually, remarking that Kongming must be having the time of his life just staring off at the distance.
Lu Bu[]
Guan Yu was not impressed by Lu Bu even when the latter achieved Heroize in just 6 months of playing, stating that even Zhang Fei did that much as well.
Dark Land[]
Sora[]
Guan Yu first met Sora by cutting her in line for a Yopi Grilled Skewer and was punched into the wall by her as a result. He was shocked by her strength and became incapacitated for a time. Guan Yu thinks she's a daring girl and wished that he could participate in the tournament to crush her.
However, Guan Yu doesn't hold hostility for long as he gave her a Yopi Grilled Skewer as an apology to Sora during Dark's birthday albeit he was met with suspicion by her. Soon after Sora left with a warning to Guan Yu, Guan Yu showed a bit of hostility saying that they'll soon face each other in the battlefield.
When Guan Yu was revealed to have a Person Type Attribute by Heart Heater, Sora was surprised.
Heart Heater[]
Guan Yu was surprised by Heart Heater's power at first as he blocked his attack with just a ledger. Guan Yu considers Heart Heater a powerful threat and tried to warn Xiang Yu about him.

Both of them are enemies as their guilds are. Guan Yu was furious at Tac for punching Zhang Fei straight towards him, calling him a bastard.

Hardcore Leveling Warrior[]
In the past, it's been hinted that Hardcore Leveling Warrior beat Guan Yu and the latter held a grudge against him. When he discovered Hardcore Leveling Warrior's reset, he planned on repaying his "debt" by killing him.

Overview[]
General Guan Yu's combat prowess is known throughout Lucid Adventure. His strength is so revered that when Tac said he would destroy Giga's castle during the Siege Round before Pooh Upooh's and Lime's teas go cold, Pooh Upooh wondered if Tac thought he was Guan Yu.[5]
Like other Hero Type Personal Attribute wielders, General Guan Yu can Heroize himself, increasing his stats and making him more powerful. His reputation is great enough for Heart Heater, a powerful NPC to not want to engage him in combat and flee.
It appears that there is a penalty on him when fighting and he can forcefully remove it to fight. The Penalty-Off cooldown is really long.
Strength: Guan Yu's strength is incredibly well known throughout Lucid Adventure and only a select few could match his strength. He was able to destroy the Magic Shield of Elixir Plant Guild with a single attack then proceeding to wreak havoc on their frontlines. Guan Yu was able to lift the gigantic staff of Sun Wukong which was dropped on him from above the clouds and threw it far away from the battlefield.
Durability: Guan Yu was able to endure the full impact of the staff of Sun Wukong which was dropped on him from above the clouds and was able to take on a Lacerate (切) from The Best Swordsman who had his True Awakening at 50%, and still engage him in proper combat.
Pole Arm Proficiency: Guan Yu is incredibly proficient with his pole arm, a gigantic guan dao.
Immense Aura: Guan Yu is able to unleash his immense aura whenever he decides to use his 100% on his opponent.
Personal Attribute[]
Guan Yu: General Guan Yu has a Person Type Personal Attribute[6] that has not yet been revealed but based on Fengxian's Personal Attribute, it can be assumed that General Guan Yu's Personal Attribute is that of General Guan Yu.
He has the Heroize skill and can at it is implied he can achieve at least the first phase.[7]
Combat Style[]
General Guan Yu engages in melee combat that uses slashes and tries to get into close contact. If the opponent is a bit further away, he can emit a red wave from his Guandao that is capable of splitting Rim in half and destroying multiple buildings.
He also prefers to charge in and brute force his way through the battlefield, tanking multiple attacks until he reaches his target.

- Yopi Grilled Skewers: Yopi Land's speciality and one of the 5 great dishes of Lucid Adventure. It is made of 5 flavoured eggplant, dragon meat and underground shrimp. Guan Yu jumped the line ahead of Sora which led to him being punched into a wall.[3]

- Dragon Crescent Blade: A red guandao that serves as Guan Yu's main weapon. It is carried by Zhou Cang, who serves as Guan Yu's weapon bearer.[1]

Background[]
At some point in the past, Guan Yu won a previous iteration of the Combat Tournament. He had a run-in with Hardcore Leveling Warrior at some point in the past, which led to him holding his current grudge.[1]
Season 1[]
The Reset Arc[]
Guan Yu visited to Yopi Land from a far away place. He shoved shoved his way to the front of the Yopi Grilled Skewers line, which led to Sora punching him through a wall.[3]
He then gets up and attempts to attack Hardcore Leveling Warrior with his Guandao but he avoids it and he ends up cutting Rim in half and damaging the buildings nearby.
The party of Heart Heater, HCLW, Sora and Rim escape him with the help of a Grabert.
He is later seen in The Three Kingdoms Conference Room of Giga, observing Hardcore Leveling Warrior's Team vs Fengxian's Team in The Siege Round of The Combat Tournament. He still holds a grudge against Sora.
Timeskip[]
Guan Yu berated Zhang Fei for just watching the battle from a distance and tells him that he is done with his battle. He also said that Zhang Fei is still in the middle of his and Liu Bei never really calls him much.
Season 2[]
Lucid Adventure Arc[]
Guan Yu was introduced, holding on to his weapon as Zhou Cang gave it to him. He then proceeded to charge through the battlefield and destroyed the Elixir Plant Guild's shield and then ordered his soldiers to charge in as well. He was then confronted by Sun Wukong and both engage in a fight, wounding each other as Guan Yu slashed Sun Wukong and the latter pierced the former's ear with his arrow.
They were soon interrupted by The Best Swordsman who opened up with Lacerate and slashed Guan Yu entirely. Guan Yu was shown to be fine after this as he engaged the Best Swordsman in a fight until Choco Bibi teleported his guild master away.

- The character is based on Guan Yu, one of China's best known historical figures throughout East Asia. Guan Yu's true life stories have largely given way to fictionalised ones, most of which are found in the 14th-century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms or passed down the generations, in which his deeds and moral qualities have been lionised. Guan Yu is respected as an epitome of loyalty and righteousness. He is portrayed as having a red face, similar to General Guan Yu in the series. Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei took an oath of fraternity in a ceremony in the Peach Garden and became sworn brothers from then on. Their goal in taking the oath was to protect the Han Empire from the Yellow Turban rebels. The oath bound the three men, who would later play important roles in the establishment of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period. It is also often alluded to as a symbol of fraternal loyalty. In two folk automatic writing texts produced in 1925 and 1972, Guan Yu became the 18th Jade Emperor in about 1840 AD; however, some have disagreed that Guan Yu has succeeded, and thus the Jade Emperor and Guan Yu are often worshipped separately.
- The character was first seen in Hardcore Leveling Warrior Season 1 Episode 2, his game name was revealed by Heart Heater in Hardcore Leveling Warrior Season 1 Episode 3. His real name and real world appearance were first seen in Hardcore Leveling Warrior Season 2 Episode 132.
- His real world name 'Unjang'(운장), is actually a play on words by the author. 운장 is the hangul form of the hanja, 雲長. 雲長 is the Courtesy Name of Guan Yu and is pronounced Yúncháng.
