A Beta Tester (베타 테스터, Beta Teseuteo) is a person who tests a product before it is released. In the gaming world, this term refers to players who are invited to test the game during its beta test period before its official release. As beta testers are not familiar with the game and are more numerous than developer testers are, they are more likely to spot bugs that the developers of the game have missed, as well provide feedback on the game. Beta tests can either be Closed Beta Tests (CBT), where only a certain number of players are invited to try out the game, or Open Beta Tests, where the test is open to the public without an invitation.
Lucid Adventure[]
The Lucid Adventure Closed Beta Test was[1] conducted over 3 years ago (Real World Time).[2] 10 volunteers chosen.[3] The beta test was more of an experiment with all sorts of people and fortunately there were no side effects. They were mostly patients diagnosed with terminal illnesses or people on their death beds.[4]
The length of the beta test has not been revealed but after the closed beta test, Roy Han asked his family to test the game.[1]
It has has not been revealed if the beta testers had any special advantages over the regular players but it was implied by Nathan Han that they all had Person Type Personal Attributes.[3]
The main advantage that beta testers had over regular players was the information about the game, its quests, best levelling-up locations and other useful details they learned during the beta period.
